AppWinners is a free website about public App Store and Google Play charts. There are no accounts, no logins, no advertising and no tracking cookies. This page explains the little that happens with data when you visit.

Who is responsible

AppWinners is run by Zani Dobruna, Belgium. Questions or requests: hello@appwinners.eu.

What we do not do

• No cookies of our own, no advertising or tracking cookies, no fingerprinting.
• No profiles of visitors and no selling or sharing of personal data.
• We never try to infer sensitive traits such as religion, health or politics.

Visitor statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses, and identifies a visit only with a hash that changes every day, so a person cannot be followed across days or sites. We see aggregated numbers only (pages, referring sites, countries, device types).

Servers and logs

The website is hosted by Vercel and our chart data is served from Cloudflare. Like every web server, they briefly process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect against abuse, and keep short-lived technical logs. They act as our processors. App icons and article photos load directly from Apple, Google and Unsplash, which receive your IP address when your browser requests those images.

What stays in your browser

A few conveniences are saved in your own browser's local storage. They never leave your device and you can clear them any time in your browser settings:

• theme: light or dark mode.
• aw:stars: apps you starred under “Your apps”.
• aw:recent, aw:recent-cc: your recent searches and countries, to show them first.

Featured apps

The home page may show a clearly labelled card for an app (for example the founder's own app). Which card you see can depend on your browser language and the date; that choice is made inside your browser and nothing about it is stored or sent to us. Store links carry a campaign tag so the app's developer can count installs from AppWinners in aggregate.

Your rights

Because we keep no personal data about visitors, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction you still have the right to ask what we hold, to object, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to hello@appwinners.eu.

App developers

App names, developer names, icons and chart positions come from the stores' public charts and belong to their owners. See the methodology for how they are collected, and contact us for corrections.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
